I have read into many of the Run-Time error 9 (subscript out of range) posts and many are concerned when rebuilding occurs. This error happens when i just try to select the folder of the source

When i select the VIDEO_TS folder for Viva La Bam Season 1 Disk 1 i get the error. I am using version .66a ECLCCE 1.81 CCE 2.67 Avisynth 2.5.

For a sanity check I put the original disk in the drive and got the same issue

Any ideas?

Thanks for input

do you get the the rebuild error on a single frame cell (look at the avs it crashes on, the trim statement will be like trim(100000,100000) ).

Also how big is the m2v of the cell it crashes on?

The error occurs when I select the source folder. Not during the rebuild. I simply select the source and it crashes

No idea. That's a new one to me.

What's the full path to the source folder? And what language is your Windows set to? (And, for that matter, what version of Windows are you running?)

I am running
Windows XP Proefssional Service Pack 2 Engligh

Full Path is
F:\VIDEO_TS

This is the only disk i get the problem with
I am using DVD-RB .67 (didnt work with any other version either)

I have only had this problem with with this one disk. Any ideas on what causes it?

So you know that your setup works on other discs correct?

Then I would say you have two possible solutions:

1. Rerip with dvd decrypter, possibly choosing to activate detect mastering errors option.

2. Did you do ANY preprocessing on the files in the F:/VIDEO_TS folder at all? If so try reripping and leaving all source files intact.

If this happens ONLY on this one disc then you have to assume the problems lies either with the way you rip it or the way it was authored/mastered. At least thats all that I can come up with.

Its just something with the disk.. Even if i put in the original disk as soon as i select the folder it crashes.

@Jomile.
That sound very strange, and I tend to agree with the points indicated by TheSeeker...

Just adding two more hints...

3. Are you adopting Decrypter 1.5.1.0 ? [It's a must if you want to make your legitimate backup copy in case of some recent protection schemes inserted in the original]

4. Is your original DVD playing properly on your standalone [Sorry for the obvious question, but you should be able to guarantee the disk is not damaged...]

Cheers,
SD

The only instance I know of where this error comes up in this circumstance is related to languages (seems to be most common with Asian languages) -- and that doesn't seem to apply.

The Tripods series 1 dvd gives this error as soon as you select the videots folder :(

the dvd is css free so i tried directly from the disc, same error.

I'm gonna do a fake strip in ifoedit to see if that makes any diffrence.

will report back later.......

Why posting you get an error when you are experimenting a non recomended way of working with RB?

- Rip with DVD Decrypter in file mode to yuo HD.
- Select the VIDEO_TS folder from your HD
- If it gives the error, try reproducing the DVD from your HD, to be sure it s a working rip
- If the error persists, post, giving as much detail as possible about your setup and the DVD is giving the error

I'm not saying you do not can experiment. But please do not post it as an error, maybe as a failed experiment

i first ripped to hd with dvddecrypter rip worked perfectly. Wouldnt open in rebuilder though. Noticed the dvd was css free so also tried opening direct from the disc. same shit.

Done a fake strip usin ifoedit now it will import into rb

mission over :)

its not a rb error but a mastering 1.

Thanks to all that have responded!

I did also try dvd decryptor and had no luck

I then tried doing as k-c-ksum did with ifoedit and it works fine

Are either of these NTSC discs? I'd like to get a copy for testing. I don't like the idea of an unresolved Error 9 floating around...
