View Full Version : How to prevent "Creating M2V" window-lets from stealing focus.

Every time DVD Rebuilder creates a new M2V file, it opens a new window on top of whatever else I'm working on, with the Cancel button having the focus. Is there any way to fix it so it stays in the background?

How about Options / Setup / Run Apps Minimized.

It doesn't seem to minimize the windows pertaining to that part of the process, only during the short "join" period at the end.

yeah, cce 2.50 won't minimize for me- even though "run apps minimized" is checked. It might be cce 2.50's fault though, I dunno. It does get irritating when you're typing someting and you accidentally cancel an encode when the window pops up.

The advantage of linking DVD-RB into other software encoders is that you get the best quality possible (while I have code for MPEG-2 encoding -- its quality of output doesn't compare to CCE).
The disadvantage is that you have to invoke it as best as you can, tell it what to do, but never truly have it under your control.
It's the nature of the beast, but I'll keep trying to get it tamed.
