Mplex stops with message: **ERROR: [???] Too many frame drops -exiting

Title (Gladiator) has 1 subtitle, two audio streams, and the video stream.

DVD2SVCD keeps on going after Mplex step and builds a set of IFO and VOBS from the short file created by Mplex (less than half the complete title).

This happened before and I tried a number of things to get past this error and never could get it sorted out. I tried to only take the video and primary audio stream and it still failed.

I have been using this config for awhile but never had this error occur before installing 1.2.2 b3.

Thanks

Hi windtrader,

"Too many frame drop message" is caused by the bitrate being too high. For two ac3 audio tracks (both 6 ch?), a video maximum bitrate of 8900 is appropriate (9350 for one ac3 track).

Best Regards,
Bob

Hi Bob,

I reduced the max bitrate to 9000 and that worked fine (both audio tracks included). One of the audio streams was AC3 6 ch and the other was AC3 2ch (director comments).

I remember the last time I got this, I did eliminate the second audio track and still got the error. I did not lower the max bit rate and that was the problem.

Thanks again Bob
