Hi everyone,
I have been waiting to post a message. I'm very impressed with the amount of knowledge you guys have.
I'm not good with computers and hope someone can please answer my question and tell me exactly what I have to do. Thanks a lot ;)

I have some video files of my family holidays. They are made up on 700-900MB MPEGs & Avis as well as large folders with several different AVI's.

Whenever I try to burn them to DVD they always become massive. I tried to burn a file that my PC said was 900mb's but when I put it in NERO or ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY it turns into a 4GB file etc. ULEAD won't even accept most of the files I burn.

I have a lot of movies I want to be able to watch on my DVD player and it's getting frustrating. I have searched through this but I couldn't make too much sense of it with the problems I am having and my lack of computer brains!

If possible can someone please tell me what programs I need & give me step by step help. I really appreciate your time.
Thanks a lot,
Nat

You've missed the forum rules, accessible at the top of each forum page, and the Announcement at the top of the Newbies homepage. We don't discuss dl'ed files at Doom9.

It's a shame that your very first request is one that we can't do anything with, so, back up, regroup, and get organized. :)

Thanks ammck55, I have fixed my original post up. I'm a mod on a very large forum myself and should have known better!:(
Kind regards,
Nat

There's no excuse for administrative errors like the one I made here. After pointing you to the rules, I should have closed the thread. Like I said in my first response, we don't discuss dl'ed files here; editing the content of your initial post doesn't change anything. My bad.

This is a great place to hang out and learn, so don't be bummed because I mishandled your first request. And yeah, welcome to the forum! :)

Thread closed. Finally....
