BlankVob feature request

As a use for creative users, can we have custom timed blanks? Say I wanted a 2 second blank cell.

I really do not know what are you asking for...
Is it not enough to change the still time in the IFO?

Or, are you thinking in a "n" second black MPEG-2 stream multiplexed in a VOB?.

I really have a lack of knowledge here... The blanks I'm using (in BlankVob, VobBlanker, BlankCell, AddChapter) are only one "I" frame, but 12 (15 in NTSC) frames are reported in Cell duration (in the Nav Pack). This is because I've read here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=462625#post462625) the minimum "standard supported" cell duration should be 0.4 sec, and 12/15 frames are the values used by IFOEdit.

Summarizing,
I can change the Cell duration of the Navpack, but the actual number of frames will be the same: just one. Obviously, the size will be the same. Is this ok?

EDIT: BTW, the original blanks 720x576/480 are the MackemX's ones. I've created with CCE the other resolution ones. /EDIT

Is it not enough to change the still time in the IFO? I knew you were going to say that. Well, this is in reponse to DVD Shrink replacing multi-cell blank VOBs with still images. If I wanted my still images to be default 1 or 2 seconds, why not have the cell created like that.

Shrink multiplexes the still images into its VOBs and keeps the times to "preserve the DVD's integrity". If you wanted to multiplex it in, why not use jsoto's idea of making the still time 2 seconds and use DVD Shrink to do the mutliplexing for you?:confused:

Frankly, I do not have much confidence on this..

Now, you are allowed to change the PTS (Presentation time). IfoEdit recognizes this value and the cell duration reflected by IFOedit's mock strip is the one you have selected on BlankVob.

But the players, at least PowerDVD, which have to decode the MPEG-2 stream see the only one "I" frame inside and do not wait until the end of the presentation time.
