Sory if it was already asked but I searched and despite the fact that I found a lot of "close" topics no one answered my queston so here it is :

I have :

1. PC with Creative Audigy 2 sound card that have audio digital in .

2. SAT box with audio digital out.

I want to :

- Record 5.1 sound on my PC .

Some programs , like Adobe Audition 1.5 , can do this but I want to record together with video capture (analogue video :() , not in separate program.
It does not have to be AC3 , 5.1 WAV is fine too , I do not need runtime encoding , I can convert later , but I need PVR kind of program or extension of VDub that can record 5.1 sound .

Any ideas ?

That would be wonderful. I don't think it is possible yet.

Ok , found this : http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=338286 thread somewhat on topic .

Going to test KX drivers ( http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1 ) , but I still need a PVR software that can record 5.1 .
Will report findings here ,

Although I haven't tried to record 5.1 with or without video, I highly recommend the KXdrivers. I've been using them for quite some time now with great results. Their forum is extremely active and full of helpful members that usually have an answer to most problems in no time at all.

Steve.
