Not sure if this is a rip or burn problem.

I rip DVD's using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Then I use TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6 to burn the discs. When I try to make a copy of the discs I've burned, I run into problems.

Opening the discs with DVD Shrink gives a Redundancy Check error, the same with DVD Decrypter. I then try SmartRipper, and it appears that the problem seems to be with the *.BUP files. Should I change the burning app, or is it something else?

hmmm ... not really sure why you are using TMPGEnc to burn your processed files?

if i understand correctly you are using DVDDecypter to rip the files to your HD, and DVD Shrink to process/compress them to fit onto a DVD+/-R.

if this is the case i suggest you set in the back-up options:
Select Backup Target -'ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter'

btw when copying a 'copy' i would use DVD Decrypter in ISO Read/Write mode.
