Hi Guys,
I have searched the forums and not found an answer (or one that I understand) and have tried numerous players-MPC, Zoom Player, and others, but I cannot find a way to adjust the brightness using XviD-1.0.2-29082004. The only way that I have found to adjust the brightness when playing one of these files is with WMP9 using its Video Settings. I have no problem adjusting brightness of DivX files in any player.

When I go to Filters-XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder I see no way to adjust brightness and changing any of the settings does not help.

Is this just the way XviD is? I have seen some posts about XviD having a brightness slider at one time.

Can someone advise me on how to adjust brightness in XviD or direct me to a player (other than WMP) that will.

Thank you all so much,
Georgia

well a player that allows you to adjust the brightness no matter what you're playing is bsplayer... you might want to try it...

if you encode your videos using avisynth (in one way or another - gk, autogk or manually) you could add a filter that brightens up the video a bit to the encoding process. be aware that this will hurt compressability quite a bit though! a filter that allows you to do that is Tweak() - more info about avisyth filters can be found here (http://www.avisynth.org)
