Help! Editing a Serial Video.

I am trying to edit a serial video DVD with 8 episodes. I want to change the ending of the last episode and replace it with an ending from another chapter on a different DVD. The original chapter 8 ends at the end of Vob 4 and the new ending is all in vob 5. I tried using Vobedit and Ifoedit0.96 per "Rescue a slightly damaged DVD". When I try DVD play I get sound but no picture. When I play it on Power DVD, it plays chapter 1 and then ends. I have read most of the guides I can access and I don't understand much of them. Help!!!!

hi and welcome to the forum,

sorry but i don't fully understand how you tried to accomplish your task. you cannot simply copy and paste dvd content "into" the vobs... if you really want to append a different ending to your episode, you will have to reauthor at least this one vobset... otherwise the ifo files will be seriously flawed (as you already noticed)

Thanks for your advise. Sorry for the delayed response. I used DVD Shrink 3.2 which created 8 chapters but split chapter 8 into parts 1 and 2 and lost the chapter menu. When I used Vobedit, 5 Vobs were created. Using Ifoedit 0.96, if I create only 1 PGC, it will play the whole set with 10 chapters. If I create a PGC for each VobID, it will only play the first chapter and then ends. In any case when I use DVD play in Ifoedit, I get the audio but no visual. I tried to create a menu using Menuedit 2.31 but I get a run time error. I would like to use the original menu if that is possible.
