.avi file playback issues

hello,

my zoom player (4.1 beta) and my windows media player (9/10) don't play .avi files anymore. i guess it is since i installed divx 3.11 alpha. i already uninstalled it, but my problem is still there. the strange thing is, that media player classic is the only player which still can play .avi files. i guess it is some kind of problem with the avi splitter filter, because in media player classic it says low merit (see screenshot).
please help me so i can play my .avi files with zoom player again.

Disable the internal avi splitter and see if mpc still works.

it does. it was disabled all the time. but i found a way to solve it. it was indeed an avi splitter issue. i downloaded gabest's avi splitter and registered it via regsvr32 and now .avi files work again with zoom player. kind of strange why the old avi splitter didn't work anymore...
