I am having a similar problem on K19:The Widowmaker, PAL. main movie is just one pgc but has angles so VOB demux, it fails in scenarist (2.7) during compile on just one of the ac3 files, same error as above, even adding silence (which curiously adds 4 mins to 6min file!) dosent work.

The catch seems to be that DOITF4U (1.4.7) reports it as a 4ch ac3 file when all the others are 6ch (as expected), the ripped ac3 is the same time as the corresponding m2v but ac3 is somehow corrupt???

This cant be a scenaid problem, but has anyone got any ideas? Is there another program to rip the ac3 out (to correspond with VOD id demux), at least just to see if that reports it as 4ch or that it's corrupt?

cheers ears

PS I've tried the place holder/data swap as suggested elsewhere and it crashes scenarist everytime, tried on w2k and XP Pro too.

The easiest way to solve it is to shorten the video by 7 frames. In the aset browser you can click on the video and fill in an end time 7 frames shorter. This should work. (no you can not make it longer to match the audio :))

And for vobid demuxes/angles it's not always wise to use dummy audio, because of the seamless conenctions. If you want to dummy audio I would suggest to not rip it for your bitrate calcs but add a real audio stream for script generation and compiling. Strip the unwanted audio after compiling.
