editing out credits on backups

Hi all.. while it is an easy task to cut out the end credits on a dvd to allow for lower compression on a movie or tv shows, the intro credits are a diferent story, often coming after a few mins of the show(as in startrek). is there any way to cut out these parts?

You can cut the video while authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author (cut bits out at any point), depends if you need to keep the original menus from the dvd or not?

yep i would like to keep the menu, save having to create one myself, just a play all or play episode
