Hello

Which bitrate should I choose to achieve a nice result? I used 928 for Matrix Reloaded and it has looked terribly in the beginning scene... Is the bitrate too low?

Many of us use Gordian Knot or the newer and easier-to-use AutoGK. These tools allow us to select a finished file size (which they convert to a bitrate), and select an optimum resolution for that bitrate/file size.

The reason? They include compressibility testing, because every movie is different, and what works for one will not work for another.

Give AutoGK a try, and see how it works for you. You select the file size, it runs a compressibility test and then selects the resolution for you.

Doom9 has guides for AutoGK and GK, and AutoGK also comes with a very nice tutorial.
