Hello every body!

I've a problem with DGMPGDec (http://neuron2.net/fixd2v/decodefix.html), how can I save an AVI file? Do I have to do that so difficult, how it is described in the QuickStart? Can't I just save an AVI like in DVD2AVI? And why should DGMPGDec be better, it says that there were some fixes? Are these fixes important?

Thx for help!

Where in DGMPGDec do you see "AVI"? The save to AVI functionality was removed. Hence the name change. :)

Look into VirtualDubMod if you want to directly encode VOBs to AVI.

However, there are better ways to create the AVI, primarily by using the DGMPGDec + AVISynth + VirtualDub. This is the preferred way to filter video for most AVI conversions.
