How do I apply avisynth filters to the movie without recompression?
I don't want to change the dvd structure or compress it - just make some cropping, resizing and noise filtering.
Couldn't find any "restoration" guides. Please advise. :help:

You -have- to re-encode. If you want the bitrate to remain the same then you may want to use a tool like bitrate viewer to obtain the average bitrate of the untouched video stream.

Even when using the same bitrate, the video has to be re-encoded, and a bit of quality gets lost.
MPEG is a distribution format, and isn't really good for editing.

So, I guess I can use DVD Rebuilder + CCE for this and set compression to 100%.
