Sound problems on playback

I've gotten an xvid of Chronicles of Riddick and after burning in Nero, it comes out fine BUT, when playing on my computer in WMP & Power DVD, I hear almost nothing but hiss. WIth Nero Player, it comes out fine. GSpot tells me I have the correct codecs and it uses AC3. I think Nero includes this but what should I do/use if I want to watch files like this on my compute?

To my knowledge that movie isn't out yet on DVD so you're definatly talking about pirated stuff. This is unwanted here.
