Using "real alternative" (which is illegal?) Nero could convert it... if Nero would access the directshow interface, which I don't know if it does :P

Razorblade2000: It is not illegal to /use/ real alternative or any codec pack containing real codecs. It is illegal to /distribute/ them.. While for instance distributing realmediasplitter, which does not include any codecs by itself, but uses codecs that are installed on the system to support DirectShow playback of RealMedia, is allowed.

In any case, I just tried, it seems NeroVision Express can not import video files even though they can be played via DirectShow. I had the same experience with MainConcept's MPEG-2 encoder. Even though it claims general DirectShow import support, it crashed with RM files. Producer is the only encoding tool I know that can read all video files that are playable via DirectShow ;)
