Damaged DV tape. How to open and close?

Hi, I've got a trouble with a MiniDV tape. The tape got phisically damaged in one point, due to a broken camera (the tape support was broken and I can't repair it).

So I tried with another videocamera, but at the broken point, the tape stops.
So I decided to manually fast foward the tape (using a pen), but something went wrong, and the tape went out of its rids (maybe I went too fast and irregular) :(

Now I can't rip anything is ahead the broken point. The only one solution would be OPEN the DV cassette and put the tape in its own position, and RECLOSE the cassette.
I have many doubt about it, I'm afraid to not be able to close it back after the operation.

Do you have any suggestion?

I've opened and rearranged VHS tapes successfully, but miniDV sounds like a tough task. (sorry no good ideas)

Me too, I did it with VHS cassettes, but MiniDV is much smaller and I'm afraid to not be so good in this task.

just try with a sacrificeable miniDV empty tape to make your tests, open and close it until you achieve familiarity with it. then try on your important miniDV ;)

In the better case, you'll be able to open and close the miniDV tape, so you can safely operate with any miniDV tape

In the worse case, you'll just drop down few dollars of an empty miniDV tape!

I solved!!! I forced the cassette with a knife and i could make the tape in its own site.

All right now (but it was hard).
