yes, i've searched the forum and found some threads, but 90% of them are from 2002 so i'm not quite sure they are still uptodate.
my problem is simple: i got a 2ch ac3 file with mono audio and want to convert it to a mono mp3 with
"BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "vts_01_([0x80]_Audio_English_AC3(2Ch)_48kHz___)_Delay_0ms.ac3" -output "target.mp3" ) -azid( -s mono -c normal -L -3db ) -ota( -G 1 ) -lame( -m m -a -v --vbr-new -b 32 -B 192 )
the resulting mp3 file has only half the size, half the bitrate wanted and plays at double speed. i also tried to use lame without -a but it doesn't help. as soon as i use -m m instead of -m s i get this speed problem. if i encode to stereo everything is fine.
how can i get lame to encode to mono without speeding the file up?
