Want to make a dvd compilation of scenes

Hello,

I am trying to make a demo for surround sound systems and I wanted to put toghether a few really good scenes to show off higher end systems. So my questions is, can you edit a dvd file and pull out just the sections you want (like virtual dub) or is it more complicated. If there is a guide available I would love a link. Also, what would you recommend to make a menu that would look semi professional?

if you want menus and stuff you can use TMPGEnc DVD Author. it's not free but it has a 30 day trial.
or
you can use dvd shrink in re-author mode with no menus. that's free.
