Missing Persons Report: Donald Graft, aka "neuron2"

Last seen late June, 2003 posting to Doom9 here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=515030#post515030).

He was also last seen posting to his own forum here (http://neuron2.net/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?p=4003&highlight=#4003) on July 12th, where he explains "I've been away because my father had a heart attack".

Does anyone have any idea what's become of him?

I think you meant to say "2004." ;)

I played Internet detective myself, and I'm pretty sure DG isn't missing. (He's probably just taking another vacation from video coding.) Check out the rec.sport.swimming newsgroup; he posted there on Tuesday.

Ah, yeah 2004. Those 3 and 4 keys are a bit close together I guess ;] Thanks for the lead, although I'm not sure I want to pollute his other interests. We'll see how patient I can be...

Have you been to http://neuron2.net lately?
From my home link I can't even see the site, I get a dns error. From work I can see the initial page, which I assume is probably from an earlier cached page as none of the links to the plugins or utils work. I needed the standalone deinterlacers for bmps and jpgs.
Help us Donald "Oh Great One", you're our only hope.:scared:

Yes, Don is back. Alive and well. He's trying to get his site back up and will return to active development again.

neuron2: Regarding my absence, well it was one of those little sabbaticals. I was just coming back to fix some bugs in DGMPGDec and do some other interesting stuff I thought of, and the damn site is down.

DG: if you need it, I've still got your unreleased DGIndex v1.13 along with an issues list ;] Welcome back

@FreQi

Thanks for the offer but I have it all.

@Cyberia

Good to see a great new mod for the forum!

@all

My site and forum are up again. You'll have to reload your avatars. I've posted a separate thread asking for known DGMPGDec bugs. I want to get a bug fix release out first, then new features.

It's good to be back.

Don has his site (http://neuron2.net) and forum (http://neuron2.net/board/index.php) back up.

These are new URLs so you may need to bookmark them (again?)

He's even posting responses again, sheesh.

Sheesh, indeed.

After I had taken a couple weeks off, I kept feeling guilty when looking at the desktop shortcuts for my forum and this one. Then to avoid feeling guilty, I stopped looking at them. :rolleyes:

Then I got a real live email from someone asking for a bug fix and I remembered how much fun I was missing. As Ivo would say, "hehe".

BTW, it's just the forum link that changed. neuron2.net is immortal.
