And shoud be more because there are programs that use them.

i thnink these programs (as DoIt4u) simulate mouse click, not command line.

BUT LightingUK has the answer

No there arent any for those.

for eject, just set it as an option via the actual gui.

CLI commands just override whatever settings you've made. If you dont specify a certain CLI command, it'll do whatever it would if you double clicked the icon/exe to load the program.

I'm curious - why isn't there a way to specify which chapters to rip via the command line?

A lot of Geneon's anime DVDs cram all episodes into one title, so splitting by chapter is not exactly helpful either, as you'd have to somehow glue 5 of them back together per episode - would it be possible to add an option to select a range of chapters in the selected VTS?

Basically nobody ever reported it as something that was 'needed'.

CLI was only really added for use by DoItFast4U. Since then, a lot more programs have started using it.

You have to remember though, the program is a Windows program. The users are supposed to do things via the GUI!

You're lucky it has any form of CLI support at all!

Well, yes, I know that - but I just can't find a different program that allows one to easily cut out and demux a selection of chapters; all that I'd need would be a way to do it from the command line, as I'm using a number of zsh scripts I've cobbled together myself for ripping and encoding series on DVD - which I mainly do for myself to get rid of telecining by turning 30FPS content into 25FPS PAL material.

So would this perhaps be a definitive maybe then? :) (Doing 26 episodes one after another through the GUI by hand gets frustrating very fast - doing it as a batch job overnight or while I'm not at home on the other hand...)

I hate to dig up this old thread, but does anyone know whether these changes made it into the last version of DVDD? I can't remember the timing of exactly when development stopped. But the date on the version 3.5.4.0 executable is after the date of the above post. The ReadMe.txt is dated before the post and has no mention of a command line option for specifying chapters. I'm hoping the functionality was added and that it's in the program but just not the documentation. Does anyone know?

For anyone following along, I found that there is a /CHAPTERS option in the current version. It is documented in /? but not the ReadMe.
