here's my setup and my little problem.

I use vdubsync and vdstartpro1.0 to cap. since vdstartpro can't change channel sources for the tuner on my card, i wrote some macro programs to do this for me in vb6. here's the way i have it set in vdstart pro.

vd runs vdubsync
vd then runs the macro to ALT F and capture avi and then the macro changes the channel for me.
vd then starts the capture and ends it at the scheduled intervals.

the only problem i have with this setup is that if left open vdubsync will incrementally name caps. ie. cap1.avi then cap2.avi. which is the way i want it.

but say for instance i do a file called cap.avi with vdub and then close vdub. later when i start a new scheduled capture cap.avi will get over-written.

now my question is this, is there an option in vdub that will rename a file if it already exists. so far ive only seen it do this if you capp all in one session.

oh btw, vdubsyncvcr doesnt work with my btwincap drivers.
