Sure. :) Per 50 answers from novices with equal questions ("Ok! I read! But what codec is better for all cases???" ;) ), 10 alswer from talkers ("You MUST use this metric!!!") we receive 1 answer from codec develorer with gratitudes and request for there codec deeper testing. (Even for unavalable commercial codecs with codec free giving.)

And such answer from codec developer is 1000 times more important for us. ;)

These test results are interesting, but even for May 2003 the selection of codecs is a little strange. Why DivX 5.02? What is XVID 2.1 in relation to the current branch? Was VSS H.264 mature enough at the time of these tests to be meaningful?

That said it is a very well produced set of tests and a certainly a credit to you that they were produced in such detail and the methodology clearly laid out.

I'd love to see more of these from you in future! :)

We delay free publication due to providing early access for companies.

We test DivX hardly about 1.5 years ago (all available versions with parameters modification). There was about 80Gb of intermediate data.
In report there will be about 1000 pages, but this work was very big, so we see only some situation for internal usage and did not publish results at all.

Currently we are going to prepare test of last lossess codecs, test of new H.264 family and test of 3-4 leaders (including DivX, of course).

That said it is a very well produced set of tests and a certainly a credit to you that they were produced in such detail and the methodology clearly laid out.
