Some time ago I used a Matrox Marvel G200 to capture VHS, and all work fine (no dropped frames, good quality video, no sync problems).
Later I changed my video card and I lose the ability to capture video; since Matrox have no capturing-only card, only video/TV/capturing ones, i have to buy a separate card...
I read the thread starded by Bizarro about the Hauppauge WinTV PVR350, and I think WinTV PVR250 will be ok for me (no need of FM radio or TV out).
1st question: the image quality is the same as my old card?
2nd question: my PC has a Firewire port (from SB audigy 2), can I use this with a capture-only device without TV support (no need of this)?
