I've been trying to back up Hidalgo and there are all the subtitled scenese don't show on my copy. I am using AutoGK 1.6 and I tried checking "display only forced subtitles" under advanced options, which didn't work. I also tried checking both "display forced subtitles" and "use external subtitles" and they still do not show up. Do I have to select a subtitle track? I don't want subtitles appearing throughout the whole movie. I also had the same problem with Kill Bill and Kill Bill Vol. 2. Can anyone tell me how to do this correctly?

Hi-
If checking the Forced Subs box didn't work, then the chances are good that they aren't Forced Subs, but have their own Sub Stream. Try unchecking the Forced Subs box, and then run the Preview on the various Sub Streams.
Do I have to select a subtitle track?
If you want subs, you always have to select a Sub Track (unless they come already burned into the video). And when unusual subs are wanted, it's a very good idea to run the Preview before wasting all the time encoding and winding up being disappointed.
