Can Realplayer connect to Darwin Straeming server?
I can play files from Quicktime mp4 using rtsp protocol, as far i understand real also supports rtsp. My player stops at 100% buffering with the play icon turning red and keeps waiting forever.

hinted MP4 files > local play > Realplayer ok
hinted MP4 files > local play > Quicktime ok
hinted MP4 files > streaming from darwin > Realplayer Not ok, see above
hinted MP4 files > streaming from darwin > Quicktime ok

mp4 files were created using mp4box ver 0.22
video simple profile level 3
96kbps aac 2ch sound

I forwarded your question to the helix-client-dev mailing list, but no one seems to know the answer ... Sorry.

Hi,

Thx for the effort. I presumed both supports rtsp and both players can play local stored mp4 file that Realplayer also would play files from DSS.
Thx anyway.

Just an curious question: Real server is only licenced for 1 year, why? coz one of the reasons i have choosen for Darwin is because i am sure i want be dragged to court for using the server after let say 5 years. And also my dont have to transcode all my files for another server.
