I apologise if what I’m asking has been answered before in some other way, but I’ve looked, and I’m still confused.
I have several Laserdiscs some PAL some NTSC, they all play without any problems direct to the SCART socket of my PAL TV. They are however protected in some way to stop them being recorded by my VCR. In my PC I have a TV capture card (Jetway TV), this will accept Video, or pick-up TV stations via an aerial. What I want to do, is to play my Laserdiscs and capture them on the PC, and then convert the file to DVD. The latter part, I can manage, but the capture is not working.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Some capture card drivers sense MacroVision, an analog protection scheme, and block capture images when sensed. It's just a guess, but this may be your problem.

If so, then this problem is sometimes circumventable. If your capture card uses a common chipset, you may be able to install alternative driver software. Or, if the chipset used is less common or proprietary, then sometimes an older or newer version of the manufacturer's driver might be helpful.
