I'm trying to backup The Name of The Rose R4 NTSC and I'm having the following problem:
As one of the extras, there is a German ducumentary about the film in VTS_01, with only german audio and several subtitles (english, spanish, portuguese, korean, chinese, ...)
When I encode with RB the subtitles become trashed, they are illegible. The subtitles of the VTS_2 where the main movie and other extras are (trailer, behind the scenes, a photo album) work perfectly.
Tried with RB 0.63a and 0.64a, setting Half D1 for extras.
, Avisynth 2.54 and 2.55, CCE 2.67 trial, EclCCE 1.81 and MPEG2DEC3DG.DLL 1.0.1.0 and DGDECODE.DLL 1012a
The ripped files play withouth problem with WinDVD, but show the trashed subtitles after processing with RB
Any idea?
As a workaround I was thinking about demux the original VTS_1 VOBs into their .m2v, .ac3 and .sup components (with VobEdit?) and then remux the audio and subtitles (.m2v and .sup files) with the .m2v generated by RB.
The problem is, the guides I have found talk about re-authoring a DVD. But I only want to recreate the VTS_1 files generated by RB with the original un-trashed subtitles, keeping the original menues. Is there a way of doing it? And I do not have ReMake, Maestro neither DVD-Lab. I was thinking more in the line of IFOEdit or VirtualDub
Thanks in advance
Pablo
