Menu that plays 16x9 and 4X3 Videos

Hi If I have a menu with 3 buttons on How can I make one button play a 4x3 video and one button play a 16x9 video as I can not put them both in the same Language folder. I can only put the 4x3 in a seperate VTS folder but the button can not link to that. Please help.

What are you using to author this?

Generally speaking the way I've seen this happen (and 2Cool probably will know better then me) is your 4:3 is say VTS2 and the 16:9 is VTS3.

the buttons can either link directly to one of those 2 VTS sets OR link to a VMG PGC after seeing a GPRM value (say 5=1 for VTS2/4:3 5=2 for VTS3/16:9) and have that VMG PGC direct to the appropriate titleset

both of these methods can be directly used if your using Scenarist

If your authoring software doesn't support that option, i'm sure you could use a utility like menuedit to modify your menu settings for one of the buttons to correct

Basically I have A VTS(named Extras) which contains a english Language Folder and in the language folder there is Root Menu with buttons. 1 button links to a 16x9 video in the title set (I right clicked the Extras VTS and presse add Title and then droped my 16x9 Video in there. I then dragged the buttons tab to the title and selected which button I wanted to link to it. Now for the 4x3 Menu I can not add another Title set and drop it in there are Scenarist will not alow this. So I had to create another VTS I created another Title droped the 4x3 video on there. I then tried to connect to this VTS with my button but scenarist will not let me do this. I cant fine any commands that will let me do this either. Please help.

well you can't mix 4:3 and 16:9 in the same title set... that's what scenarist is having problems with

you have to create a new VTS set and put the other AR title in that... then link to the main movie in that VTS set

So how do I link to it? I have put the 4x3 in aother Title set I now have my 16x9 menu open and have got the button which I would like to link to that Title Set but what command do I put on that button because I can not find a Link to another Title set command.

You can link 2 vts's via VideoManager(VMG). Just create a language under the VMG and create a pgc(That is called dummy).Then link ur button from ur menu to that pgc and the post of that pgc to VTS2> And to go back to ur menu do the opposite way with another dummy pgc.
