Hi,
I just bought a Pioneer DVR-320-S dvd recorder on my last visit to america. Now im quite a dumbass cause its an NTSC model and all the tv broadcasts here are in PAL. So everytime attempt I have on recording gives me a nice pitch black recording :-/ . The only solution I was able to think of was to get some kind of converter that will convert the PAL signal coming from my TV to an NTSC signal to the dvd recorder. Im open for any other solutions ofcourse. Does anyone know what type of converter will best match the profile of what im looking for? the cheaper the better.

Thank you.

I've got the 220, basicaly the same model. I know it has an NTSC tuner. In fact I use it because it's hooked up to a monitor without a tuner.

I don't know how yours is set up, but if possible, try hooking it up as just an input. (I do this with my VCR). But honestly, other than the resolution and drop frame and things like that, I'm not clear on the exact differences between PAL and NTSC.
