Hi,

I installed the Matroska ShellExtention 2.7 and it works fine. The only problem is that my MKV-Files now hava a strange white/back Icon looking like an animal. But I want them to have an Icon which is embedded in TCMP. I tried to "associate" them in tcmp, but the icon won't change. I tried to install/reinstall in different orders (extention and player) but i still habe the Icon of the MatroskaProp.dll. How can I change this? Is there a registry way? Or what else could be the problem?

Thanks for helping!

Hi DVD,

I think the fastest way is to uninstall MatroskaProp. Reassociate your desired icon in TCMB again. Then install MatroskaProp again. During installation one dialog ask you for your icon. Select "Leave icon" and go on.
I hope it works... ( I did the same but with Zoomplayer and it worked)

After installing that way the icon is right, but this only works until i reboot my computer or restart the "explorer"-Task. Doing this bringt back the black/white icon (which i really dislike) I also tried the "change Icon" tool that comes with the Matroska Prop, but What ever i choose, the black/white icon stays. I just can't get rid of it...

What can I do?

Thanks! DVD

I had the same problem with matroska shell extension 2.7 ... after installing version 2.6 again, the "animal" icon is away...

Well, 2.6 causes some other Problems, because Thumbnails won't work proper there. So I need 2.7 but with the right Icon...

If you know where the the icon or icon library of TCMP is you can use the general way:

open the explorer:
goto "extras" --> "folder options"(Ordneroptionen) --> "file type"(Dateitypen) --> here search for the MKV extension -->click on it -->push "extended"(Erweitert) --> push "change symbol"(Anderes Symbol) --> now you must search for the icon library (.icl extension) or the specific icon (.ico extension), open it and select the desired icon.

This won't work to... There is no way to change the Icon, after installing the Extention.

With 2.6 (which i tried too) it won't work as well!

Any other ideas!

This installer (http://park14.wakwak.com/~flower/mkvinst_093_test7.exe) can change the icons for mkv and mka. Go to the folder where you install it, put mkv.ico and mka.ico (any icons you'd like to use) in the ./icons folder, then click TweakMPC.exe...
