Converting DV file in GordianKnot

I have created a 15GB DV file from a capture movie on Premiere and wanna use GK to convert to a DivX or XviD file. But when I try to open this file in *.AVI > OPEN it says that my file is not d2v.
How can I do that?

Perhaps you have a Type-1 .avi file. Have you seen http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32197 yet?

I will try with AVS, but my DV AVI file opens on VDub too, no problem. It looks a DV type-2.

I have tried this AVS to convert my DV movie to MPEG-2 DVD compatible using TMPGEnc and the audio is out of sync when I read the AVI using AVS. Why that? How can I fix that?
