CELLS in a PGC

Hi

I've seen on a few DVD's that some PGC's has more than 1 Cell. Is it possible to add Cells to a PGC?

Thanks for the reply Les. I've tried it, but it seems to only add cells to the title, I need to add cells to a menu's PGC. For every cell it creates, it creates another VOB.

1. To alter menus, you can use PGCEdit's "New PGC" function. Open your DVD in PGCEdit. Click on the particular menus you want to add a PGC to. Now right click and select "New PGC". This will create a dummy menu at the end of the menu. You can then fill this with commands.


2. To stop another VOB being created (when using Add Chapter), tick the "Append new cells to last VOB file" box.

Perhaps I'm not being clear as to what I need to do. The structure I'm looking to create is as follows:

Menu PGC 1 - Root Menu
-- Cell 1: Menu Intro
-- Cell 2: Menu
-- Cell 3: Menu Outtro

Menu PGC 2 - Chapters Menu
-- Cell 1: Chapter Menu 1
-- Cell 2: Chapter Menu 2
-- Cell 3: Chapter Menu 3
-- Cell 4: Chapter Menu 4

Menu PGC 3 - Subtitles Menu
-- Cell 1: Subtitles Menu 1
-- Cell 2: Subtitles Menu 2

etc. etc.

A very good example is the menu's of "Starsky & Hutch". I loaded it up in DVDRemake and saw the above type of structure.

If you have a DVD that already has the menu structure you like then import those menus onto your DVD, again using PGCEdit.

I already thought of that one, but after going through a dozen DVD's, I gave up on that idea as there's never one with the exact structure. Maybe there is, just haven't found it yet, but wasting valueble time finding one.

There must be a solution somewhere. Thanks anyway.

I've understood you are trying to add a cell in a menu PGC.

AddChapter is only able to do it in titles domain, but before AddChapter exists, people was using this guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=69347)
You can try to do it manually with IFOEdit following the previous guide, taking into account the tables you have to modify are the Menu related ones. Basically, the steps are the same (well, one less, because in menu domain there is no chapters table)

Thanks, I had a look at that guide and it helped me to find where I had to change, to add more CELLS to the Menu PGC.
