one of the 3 players is certified from dxn till now, which means by default no support for multiple b-frames, gmc, qpel, custom/mpeg quants and of course no support by default for xvid, 3ivx, nerodigital or aac, subtitles, containerformats others than .avi aso...

The DivX certification does not say anything about what a player can NOT do
Looks intresting, it seems they use their own chipset.

well it doesnt ensure all the things to be supported i mentioned. would you expect a cheese to taste like ham, when there is "cheese" written on it? :D

First look:
It played DivX including qpel+gmc.
No Xvid playback, you have to change the fourcc code to divx to make it play....
Does not support Xvid+GMC and Xvid+Packed bitstream, no mpeg file playback, no mp3 from DVD, no divx subtitles even if the manual says otherwise, no .mp4 playback
Supports long filenames.

well no packed bitstream and no xvid fourcc support makes this one pretty useless.no mpeg playback , no mp3 from dvd... what happened to SONY, they used to be top of the edge in new technology

I think they must have worked hard to reduce the features of this player....
