Picture-in-Picture?????

I am helping someone put together a DVD of a football team (Pop Warner), game-by-game highlight film. What I want to do is similar to Monday Night Football team introduction. Between plays I want to pop up onto the screen the pictures and names for the offensive line, wide receivers, running backs, etc. overlaying the players milling around in the background. The editor the person is using is Pinnacle 9.1, but I am not limited to just that option. I apparently stink at searching for this subject. It would be most helpful if someone could either explain how or point me to some good links.

Doesn't Ulead Video Studio offer an "overlay" function just for those types of graphics?

Yes, it does. From the Video Studio 8 help file...The Overlay Step allows you to add overlay clips to combine with your videos in the Video Track. Use an overlay clip to create a picture-in-picture effect or add a lower-third graphic to create more professional-looking movie productions.

I guess Pinnacle also has an option to do this easily.
I know it from Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro: you overlay a clip on the timeline (above the background clip) and resize it in the preview window - done! Even Premiere 6.5 can do it, only you have to resize the overlayed clip with sliders which is not as fast.
