I used Decrypt & Shrink about a year ago, but I've reached the age when my brain is working on a FIFO basis. In order memorize new fact old ones have to be deleted due to lack of gray cells. Things aren't working for me any more. I'm going on a business trip to Europe and would like to take some back-ups of DVD's I've just bought, on my last trip I lost my bag, and a load of disks too!

First off I used Decrypt. I got a bunch of filers on the hard drive

Manoffire\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.BUP
\VIDEO_TS.IFO
\VTS_01.BUP
\VTS_01.IFO
\VTS_01_1 TO 5 .VOB

I tried to burn using Shrink, the latest version, just downloaded. It seemed to think that my Memorex burner is a CD ROM and that's as far as that went. I went through the whole thing again using a laptop with a Pioneer Firewire burner and after just another hour or so I ended up with exatly the same problem. the error message is:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to create folder
Incorrect function.

I thought I might be able to play the decrypted files right off the hard disk using Daemon, but it is looking for .ISO files. Don't have any of those.

I've trawled through various guides, haven't found my way out of this maze. Can anyone shed some light?

Is your Memorex burner a DvD burner or a CD burner? Are you trying to make DVD -> DVD backups?

select output to ISO in dvdshrink. set target as you hard drive(NOT the burner). once the iso is created you can mount it with daemon tools or burn it with dvddecrypter or nero.

If you want to simplify the process use shrink to decrypt. It does a pretty good job, now and then you'll get one where you need dvddecrypter.
.
Shrink doesn't have a built in burning engine, the output files go on the hdd and you burn from there.
.
Do what dragongodz said to do.
