Rescue of chunky move avi

Hi,
I just want to ask,whether it is possible to rescue an avi with chunky moves(camera pannings)that are probably caused by checked packed bitstream option...I am looking for different way than first turn the avi to uncompressed avi and than make another Xvid...thank for all replies

There's a tool that allows you to remove packed bitstream without reencoding the movie, it's called MPEG4Modifier. Search for it on this forum and you'll find it.

I´ve tried that but it returns me message: Too many VOPs in a frame...


so what should I do now? :(

How was the original AVI created? I don't think there should be more than 2 VOPs in any given frame with a packet bitstream. If MPEG4Modifier detects that this is the case, it will give the error you received.

I dont know how it was created but it was split into two parts...the sencond is OK but the first one returns the message i ve wrote before...would it help if i joint the two part in VirtualDubMod again?
