I-frames settings and comp test result

Interesting observation: I-frames settings are not available in constant quantizer single pass encoding, right? But they modify the compressibility of the fast motion sources quite a bit (since there are a lot of key frames and they are encoded with different quality that would be in single pass mode). So comp test results can be quite a bit off (if you consider 5-10% as a large difference) and the only way to ensure that you get what comp test expected is to set both boost and reduce values to 0. Is there any drawback of doing that?

I wonder - is this fixed since RC1 of 1.0 or I-frames are still given too high quantizers?

*Edit* Also does this mean that if "turbo" mode is off, then we don't need iframes boosting ?

Turbo and Fast first pass are 2 different options.

You mean fast first pass is: "Full quality first pass" option ?

Yes. Fast first pass is enabled by default.
