whenever i encode my movies in divx from dvd i find some saturated colors shift to the right (like red) where as all others stay the same.

i am keeping in yv12 atleast i think i am.

It's a video card driver problem.

wat video card problem. i have nvidia card and seen this thru all its drivers. and y doesnt it happen in dvds or anyother files.

also if it is how can i test it and fix it.

Some threads that discuss chroma issues are linked, below. It appears from reading these that the GeForce2 hardware and drivers have some difficulties with YV12 Overlay.

But these may or may not point to your problem. You might try using AutoGK, and see if the chroma error goes away.

If the problem goes away, well then, you know something in your personal encoding method (AVS/VdubMod per another post of yours (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=555489#post555489)) is at fault.

If it's your process that's causing the problem, post an applicable .avs script. We might be able to see if your script is at fault, such as a resizing modulo error.
