Can"t capture-dropped frames and no reason!

Hi,can anyone help?
I used to capture home DV movies with premeire for a LONG time now through my firewire.
Since yesterday I got some frame drops here and there and sometimes the capturing stops and the app says:"couldn't find timecode".I tried recording a full tape of black screen from beginnig to the end and then capture it- the same errors happened.
Does anyone has an idea? I'm in the middle of a big work right now...It would really help!

Dude. I am having the same problems and I'm sure that we are not alone. I think I saw your post over at videohelp.com I sending this message to every video forum that I can find to hopefull find a solution. Have recently installed SP2 and/or Windows Media 10.

Dude,i think it's a very simple problem:bad HD.I took mine to a technician and he said the HD was curroupted (bad sectors or something).So we replaced the HD and everything works!
