It's a sad day indeed :(

Christopher Reeves is a local to my home town in New York. Regardless of his disability, he has always made a strong contribution to the community at large. In March of 2001, a student at Fox Lane High School broke his neck playing Lacrosse. Christopher soon gave his support to that student and arranged frequent visits coaching him through living without the use of his limbs. That student made it through his own graduation day.


If it was anybody who would be around to ensure the success/funding of research for spinal regeneration, I thought it would be him. Hopefully through his death researchers will take this even more seriously.

Apparently he did have some senation back in certain parts of his body, and he was also able to move his index finger, something which my old local townsfolk have confirmed.

I just saw news and short program about him with interview on TV. It's so sad how cruel life can be. He was very active and sportive kind of person. And tied to a chair after accident for years. So depressing. :(
