Hi all,
can somebody help me, please, how to get FFDShow decode my DVDs? I heared in the last version the MPEG decoder is already fixed, so I'd like to try it out, but I'm not able to create a working DVD graph in my favorite players (MV2Player, ViPlay, MPC). Does anybody know how to make ffdshow the default dvd decoder? And what about subtitles?
Also what plugin would you sugest for deinterlacing? I believe the DSclaer greedy2frame would be the best choice for an icehockey DVD, am I roght?
Thank you,
Vlada

Over 140 views and no reply? Am I the only one who's trying to use FFDShow to decode DVDs (MPEG-2)? Btw. what's so special on DVD that it needs a separate directshow graph?

Beside css, I believe that dvd playback need some sort of source filter, which parse the dvd menus and shit etc; at least this is what windvd doing.

Anyway dependant on dshow on dvd playback isn't really a good idea as different "commercial" filters always race against each other and prevent building a good graph automatically. I am sticking my ass with vlc on this.
