I can't believe my eyes when I read the press release @ http://www.samsung.com/PressCenter/PressRelease/PressRelease.asp?seq=20041006_0000070834 (was googling some infos on the SPH-V5400with 1.5GBs microdrive).

SGH-D500 Specifications
• Band : Tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz)
• Camera : 1.3 Mega pixel Camera with Flash and digital zoom
• Display : 262,144 TFT LCD (176x220 pixels)
• Dimension : 93.5×45.7 ×23.5mm
• Weight : 99g
• Video Recording & Messaging (H.263/MPEG4)
• Music Player (MP3/AAC)
• E-Mail Client / vCard / vCalendar
• MMS / Java / WAP 2.0
• Bluetooth / USB Memory / SyncML
• 64 Polyphonic Ring tones / MP3 Ring tone
• Speaker phone / Voice Clarity

Now if they interagated HE-AAC playback and that 1.5GBs microdrive, then taking the crown in the mobile world from Nokia is just easy cake...

but I think Nokie might be faster than them in HE-AAC,through :(

Check out the Samsung SGH-1700... although it does seem to be quite rare at the moment!

And there's also the Orange C500 (http://www.orange.com/English/productsandservice/thespv3.asp?bhcp=1)....

And where is the news? I have already posted that aacPlus is part of the 3GPP Standards. see: http://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Specs/html-info/26-series.htm TS 26.401 to TS 26.411 for aacPlus

And that Mpeg4 Audio is part of 3GPP and his .3gp Format is also know.
