Sorry for the late reply, steelhrd.
Are there any "unreferenced materials" on this DVD?

I also tried to make a backup copy of Pitch Black and got the exception error.
Only now DVD Shrink will not work at all. If I click the "backup" button with any files, including ones that worked previously, the program just exits.
I have tried uninstalling DVD Shrink but I don't think it uninstalls completely because the existing DVD files on my hard drive do not require analysis to come up in DVD Shrink, they just come right up. Is there something else I have to do to completely re-install DVD Shrink?
Also, I have not rebooted, I am unable at this time. I will try it later, hopefully it will help. I would still like to know where the history files are stored. I tried the help files and Mr Bass' guide and none of them gave that info. I will continue to check the forums, I'm sure the info is there.

I installed the older version and it did the same thing, so I think a reboot will be required, when possible. I'm sure that will fix the problem. Thanks!

steelhrd, next time, try and use v3.2, and apply either "No Compression" or "Still Image" to the unreferenced material.
Another option is to do a movie-only backup.
StrawMan, the analysis result files are in a hidden folder:
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DVD Shrink"
Windows Explorer >> Tools >> Folder Options >> View >> Hidden files and folders >> Show hidden files and folders.

Thanks for the help!
When I get home today I will reboot, reinstall, and try it with the unreferenced material still imaged, and report back.

I am using Shrink 3.2 and when I did Pitch Black there were no problems at all with the "unreferenced Materials" I just ran it normally with deep analysis everything work as usual.

many friends of mine (few that I have) who call me on the phone say something like
"dvdshrink encountered an error"
so I ask if they looked at the disk to see if it was dirty (fingerprint smudges, small dust) and they say there sure it's not.
So then I say did you at least try ripping it with dvd decrypter? They hadn't. Then they try and it errors so then I say go put it under the sink with water and wipe in a non-circular motion (from center to outer edge of dvd) and this usually solves there problems. Sometimes the disc is hopeless and they have no choice but to purchase another one (thus the reason to backup in the first place).
Now saying all this let's say the disc is clean and dvd decrypter rips it just fine. Usually re-author mode works when/if full disk mode fails. I honestly wouldn't know as 99% of my dvd backups are main movie only. But that's what I gather from reading around.
A few dvds lately with vobs with errors I have no choice but to rip to .iso with dvd decrypter (check 'ignore read errors' under I/O tab) then process with dvdshrink.

Sorry it took me so long to get back.
I re-booted, reinstalled DVD Shrink and the program ran fine. I used the same files decrypted to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter and changed the Unreferenced Material to Still Frame and the process completed with DVD Shrink without any issues.
Thanks for the help!
