Hi,
I am backing up a dvd which has forced subtitles in them. I am having problems with getting them displayed on windvd4 without having to manually switch them on.
I;ve the latest dvd2dvd and would appreciate advice on how to make the subtitles always appear when playing on dvd player/software.
Thankx

Hi,
I did a search on your thread title and this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45440&highlight=how+to+make+subtitles+forced) came up. It may be of use.
Cheers.

can't you just select "Permanant Subtitles" in the subtitles tab?

thanx fellas,
i've gone for forced subtitles, but i don't like the idea of them being burned into the movie. i would prefer them to be the dvd players fonts and formatable which normal subs can be on the dvd player....

fellas,
ive found a way to do it without burning the titles directly into the movie.
just select the subtitles and when you have the finished vob files, open dvd shrink in re-author mode, select the title and right click on it. then select default stream , and then choose the display the default subpicture stream. run through the backup with no compression required obviously and this works fine in windvd!!!
jobs a good un

The '2cool' ifoedit method suggested by r6d2's post is by far the quicker, the job is done in 30 secs.

Bob
