Ok, I'll try and explain this as best I can. I'm getting a "fuzz" at the top portion of the WS sections of this disc I'm trying to backup. Sort of like a VHS scanline at the bottom of the screen, except this is at the top where the top WS black bar meets the video. The original material does not have this problem. RB .63a, CCE 2.67.0.27, AVISynth 2.5.5. How would I go about taking a few caps and posting them here to show what's happening, and does anyone have an idea of why this is happening?

I had the same problem in the beginning with Dvdrb. That was because I thought I had to de-interlace all the time. I think you have enabled "deinterlace with decomb". Try to disable it and encode once again. That solved the problem for me.

Try playing the avs files produced during the prepare step with some mediaplayer. I guess the trouble is present also there...

Yes, it is, and I will try again turning decomb off. Thanks to you both, I'll post back tomorrow after I run the encode job overnight tonight.

You're welcome, just glad to help you out with that problem. As I also had it some months ago.

Perhaps it should be added to the RB FAQ...if there is one?
