Anydvd has the new setting "copy protection based on unreadable sectors." Should I be using this setting when I copy dvds for use through rebuilder? From what I understand, all it does is turn the unreadable sectors into data that can be copied so that certain programs don't get confused, right? Please help me, I have searched and asked at other places but haven't gotten a straight answer, and thought I might as well ask at the source. Thanks.

Without having tested it, i'd say leave it disabled. Then if you stumble on a disc that can't be copied, enable it and try again. When in doubt i'd stick with using the recommended ripping software, dvddecrypter.
happy ripping :)

Thanks for your reply. I have used anydvd for over 100 dvds with rebuilder and have had no problems. I personally like how much more straightforward anydvd is compared to dvddecrypter, so I would like to continue using it and its newer versions as they are released. If other people use or have used anydvd, please give me your input on this and other settings. I very rarely have any problems with rebuilder using it and if you are having 003/004 probs you should try it out for yourself just to see if it makes a difference, thanks.
