View Full Version : Combining Saving Private Ryan's best sound & video?

It seems the PAL DVD has the best video quality. The new DTS version obviously has better audio but in quick comparison it seems the video is not so good and uses smaller bitrates, and even has a small defect at line 1's first half. Therefore I'd like to combine the new DTS soundtrack with the old version's video stream to get the best version/quality. The question is what (windows) software should I use to do this?

DoItfast4U + ScenAid or Reauthorist + Scenarist + IfoUpdate

Demux the DTS stream and replace the audio asset in scenarist.

It's also possible to recreate the whole thing in DVDMaestro.

Thanks! How do I prepare the streams for DVDMaestro? Both DVD's include only one soundtrack and the main movie with a few subtitles. I can handle the subtitles.
