Is there a documentation about matrices

Hi Men, I have looked for a documentation of the use of custom matrices, but i dont found anyone.
Is there any documentation about the use of those matrices?
for example: between witch bitrates should i use anyone?

Search... there're many threads regarding how a matrices works and which are the suggested for a specific bitrate/type of encoding.

If you tell me what type of encoding you want to do I can suggest you some options...

I usually tried to put the movie in one cd, that is for bitrates between 700 and 950. the resolutions I use are between 640 and 512. what i do, is to change the resolution until i obtain the resolution above mentionned.

Which matrices are good for that range of bitrates??

For that bitrate (medium-low), you can use H.264, HVS-Good, Low/Very low/Ultra low bitrate matrices, Jawor matrix (do a search to find it, it's specifically aimed at 1cd encodes), or the new low-bitrate matrices for 1cd encodes from Sharktooth, EQM V3LR or EQM V3ULR (not very tested though ATM). That matrices are best for a 700-750 kb encode.

If you go low with resolution (increasing bit*pixel value), you can also use MPEG, HVS-Better/Best, Jawor is fine here too i think.
